The Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria has a 5-year Cooperative Agreement with the United States Government Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) for the purpose of mentoring all tiers of Nigeria’s Public Laboratory System to advance them towards National Accreditation under PEPFAR by Council
MLSCN is therefore recruiting senior-level managers and technical experts to provide services towards driving continuing quality improvement of public health laboratories for national accreditation.
JOB TITLE: DIRECTOR, LABORATORY ACCREDITATION
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Director. Laboratory Accreditation shall assist to oversee the national laboratory accreditation program. This individual will have taken a hands-on approach in leading a variety of initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a track record of effectively leading a performance-based and outcome-based program and staff, S/he will have developed and operationalized strategies that have taken a program or organization to the next stage of growth.
- Skills should include organizational development, information technology and strategic planning; demonstrated success developing and monitoring systems to manage both operational and programmatic work that involve high levels of collaboration.
- Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of MLSCH.
- Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:PhD in any field of Medical Laboratory Science with minimum of 15 years over all professional experience including laboratory accreditation, assessments, continuing quality improvement processes and full registration with Council
