INSTITUTE OF TROPICAL AGRICULTURE (IITA)IITA is an international non-profit research-for-development (R4D) organization created in 1967, governed by a Board of Trustees, and supported primarily by the Consultative Group of International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). Our R4D is anchored on the development needs of sub-Saharan Africa. We develop agricultural solutions with our partners to tackle hunger and poverty by reducing producer and consumer risks, enhancing crop quality and productivity, and generating wealth from agriculture. The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian Nationals for the following position at the Institute’s Headquarters, Ibadan.

Successful candidate will among other
things perform the following:
- Be responsible for the education and welfare of Grade 4 pupils
- Plan and prepare courses and lessons following the programmes in
place
- Assess, record and report on the progress of the pupils
- Maintain a well-ordered teaching area
- Responsible for and participate in two afternoon clubs
- Follow the timetable as agreed with the Head
- Implement other requirements of a Class Teacher as laid down in the
‘Class Teacher’s Professional Duties’ report
- Undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the Head

B.Ed or First degree in a related
discipline plus Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
Candidate must have minimum of three years teaching experience.
He/She must be child-centred and experienced in enquiry-based
teaching approach.
Possession of musical and artistic skills is desirable.
Ability to teach French is added advantage. |
